Artist Jules Thomas finds her inpiration for her landscape/seascape paintings in the wild and rugged landscape of West Cork, Ireland. The mountains, hills and valleys sweeping down to the rocky and jagged coastline and the Atlantic ocean has been her home for 40 years. It is transversed by the Wild Atlantic Way.

For the Welsh born artist Jules Thomas BA work takes the form of near photo realistic sea and landscapes in oil paint.

Jules Thomas, artist, paints at her studio/gallery at The Prairy, Lissacaha 5 miles west of Schull on the Mizen Peninsula over looking Dunmanus Bay and Sheep's Head Peninsula looking northwards towards Bantry Bay the Beara Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry.

As well as crafting her own paintings she also paints commissions. Her works hang in private collections throughout the world – many of which have been given as wedding presents and wedding gifts.

Jules has also produced a series of wild life murals and three dimensional models which are on permanent display at the Mizen Head Visitors Centre.

During the summer season from Easter until the end of September she displays her work at Schull Country Market each Sunday on Pier Road, Schull. Her works are also displayed at the Lavitt Quay Gallery in Cork City.
